First of all, I can not imagine this wine being anymore at it's summit of maturity than it is right now. Perfectly cellared since purchasing it on release. The highest score I have given to date on Cellar Tracker. This is a personal preference for what I really like in Pinot Noir. My wife agreed that this was also one of the best she ever tasted and that was before she knew my thoughts on it. It is on the darker side of Pinot Noir with incredible concentration of flavors that linger. The finish goes on and on. The style is definitely California as it should be. This is by no means an over the top wine in the Pinot Noir world. It would not be considered a "Pinot Cab" in my book as some like to call that style, but it isn't feminine either. Add to this a mesmerizing combination of fruit and earth with a mouth watering acidity to balance it all out. This wine was best enjoyed on it's own without food because I just wanted to keep enjoying the wine without interference. Simply just AMAZING!!! To be fair, I have found the Keefer Ranch Vineyard to yield Pinot Noirs that appeal to my palate.

14.2% alcohol. This is in a phenomenal place right now. Lush black cherry fruit just pours from this wine, with terrific spice and floral components backing it up. It is open, delicious, and fantastic. A-/A

Red fruit is front and center, making it hard to pick up on any other subtleties. Was good with food but a bit cloying on its own. Liked it better day two but would not purchase again.
