A: Pale lemon green N: Medium (+) nose. Pear, peach, lime rind, green apple, grass, yeast P: Yeast, phenolic bitterness, jalapeño. Dry, medium (+) acid, medium (+) body, medium (-) alcohol (12.3%), medium (+) intensity and long finish. C: BLIC? Tick for first 3 and a half tick for the latter. Very Good Quality wine. Designed to drink now (in the next 3-5 years). Not a huge fan of the style and at $38/bottle at Kroger, its not a bargain. Would like to try again in a couple of years.

A private lunch (Restaurant Marchal *, Copenhagen, Denmark): Pale green-tinged white gold; aromatic nose, fresh and mineral, hint of tropical fruit, white pepper, pure and cool; the acidity is really zingy in this light to medium-bodied wine (12.5% ABV), with a creamy texture and very subtle bitters, juicy and energetic, racy and entertaining, mineral rather than fruit-driven; lovely flavour persistence, airy finish, good length. An elegant wine, so much more digestible than Pichler's mighty Smaragd wines, especially at lunch.

Ripe fruit, hints of tropical fruit, white pepper, intense. Creamy and fresh on the palate, clean and pure, spicy with a nice mineral backbone. Very good. 89-91

Green melon, apricots, and peach flavor on the nose. Good acidity with ripe apricot and refreshing mineral notes on the palate. Good finish.
