(92-93) This takes a bit of time to open up but there is more obvious midpalate density on this particular bottling than some other Bouree stuff, tasted as of late- an orange zest in the high register breaks to some very Gevrey notes of leather, game/blood with initially cranberry and pomegranate fruits that start to some truffle and early-stage sous bois stuff beginning to take form. The fruit becomes darker, tending to more black cherry with good mineral cut throughout the palate, enhanced by good acidity (especially for the vintage). Compelling today but young, of course. Opens up real nicely, though with even a good 30 minutes +. NO RUSH.
