  • A forgotten blle in the cellar, found while rummaging for something else. The color was still very much alive. On the nose kirsch, rhone herbs, pepper, roasted meat, and a bit of licorice. Fleshy and round on the palate, but with structure that was impressive for its price point. More cherries, and garrigue, with a smoke on the finish and still a little grip. A dead ringer for a southern rhone wine. I would have called it an outstanding CdR or a lower level CdP blind. A very well made wine that was a damn near perfect pairing for our pork loin, black bean and tomatillo salsa dinner last night. Very enjoyable at a laughably low tarriff. Wines like this make me smile and contemplate the theory of diminishing gains. Well done!
