  • If you are a Napa lover, this may not be for you. Very dry and sugar free for the style, the wine is beautifully colored now at age 10 and can hold here for about 3 years. We have tones of chocolate, nose of vanilla and oak, and dry plums. Long, caressing finish. Drink this soon while its still spinning in balance. Drink

  • This is in the zone now. Needs about 3 hours of air still, but this is mouth watering delicious and incredibly tannic and long. The finish lasts over 30 seconds and leaves impressions of concentrated dark fruit absent of sweetness associated with boring napa wines, coupled with development of dark tilled soil. Bruiser of a wine, and an excellent candidate for a one bottle night! Drink or Hold

  • Quality wine, no doubt and a great qpr. Not what you would expect from napa 2013 though. Surprisingly restrained and medium bodied with little heat. Crunchy and light purple, peppercorn, spicy, some green pepper, pyrazines. I would have guessed cab franc. Really, it reminded me of a high quality 2011 napa. I did a pnp so maybe decanting would have fleshed it out.

  • Thick, tannic, vibrant, strong, full of red fruit pith and stealthy balanced toasted oak, this was was singing last night. We all had puckered pusses and were looking at each other in astonishment! A finish that lasted over 45 seconds...Glad to have kept my bottles of this...Another great find that I had overlooked due to lack of decanting. GIVE THIS 3 HOURS OF AIR! Wow good...Im deleting my last note of 91 on this wine and replacing it with a full blown 95. Drink or Hold

  • Took this to a party. Let it breathe in bottle for about 3 hours, then re-corked for transport. Got maybe one more hour of air before I dove in.

Pretty impressive stuff. Did not take formal notes, but definitely found this to be my favorite wine out of several good bottles that were open (Clio; Two Hands - Bella's, Rivers-Marie). Fruit was dark and well-composed, and finish was very well integrated.
