Enjoyed over 3 nights, nose of allspice, black berry, black cherry, and earth, same on the palate, big body, mouth filling fruit, got better and better each night, at peak time to enjoy this wine if you cellar it, and a long, flavorful finish and lovely aftertaste, photo uploaded.

Interesting bottle and also my last of my long ago Miner wine club stash. Decanted 90 min then put back into the bottle to take to HMCs for dinner, uncorked and poured over the next 3-5 hours. I was rather disappointed through the night by this one. So much so that I told HMC, from the outset, that it really needed food to be enjoyable after the decant. It was thin, red fruited, had some bricking and drying astringency and generally felt/drank older than a '13. Maybe old and Left Bank-ish at that point? I would have given it an 89-90 then. We set it aside to have a glass with dinner and to me it improved a tad to maybe a 91-92 with time and food. Flash forward another few hours and most of the other wines were gone, so we had to return to this one. By then it had gained significant weight and the fruit had darkened and deepened quite a bit. The wine smoothed out further too and all elements came into balance. Quite the Houdini act performed by this one! It came to a 94-95 by then. Nice.....if I were going to average this one out I'd probably give it a 92.5 but I was so impressed with it at the end of the night, I'll stick with its high point score of 95 because it really evolved and was a much more complex/layered bottle than the Myriad which was a totally different type of animal.....probably 2nd WOTN for me at the end, losing out by just a point to the BCellars MH.

Wow, an incredible Cabernet Sauvignon! Showing finesse and power. Great balance of smooth and layered flavors with an incredibly smooth an tasty finish. Was harmonious with our smoked brisket and farro grain bowl topped with roasted root vegetables.

Still very primary and tannins still prevalent and need to resolve. Good wine but going to get better. I’ll Save the last bottle until 2025.

Still young and tightly wound. High acid and high tannins still dominate after 2 hours of decanting.
