Clear, pale, ruby in appearance. The nose is clean, with med intensity. The palate is dry, with med(+) acidity, med(+) green rustic tannins, med alcohol, med(+) body, med(+) intensity, and a med(+) finish. Notes of cranberry, sour red cherry, strawberry, a little black fruit, and baking spice.
Very good wine. Not very complex but has the acidity and tannic structure to age 5-7 years and will probably get more interesting. It is a somewhat ripe style for Burgundy. Drink or hold.

Value Burgundy Tasting at Wine Wizards: Bright blue red color. Some fruit but very modest in intensity. Tons of acid. Overall the wine is thin and acidic with some complexity but the acid is too high for me. I wanted to like this wine.

Got to love a Bourgogne rouge from a vineyard with a great story like this.
I haven't been a big fan of Bouvier's wines for some reason, although many people I trust love them. This one has a ton of pure, juicy fruit and is delicious and refreshing with a chill. I would have almost certainly called Beaujolais blind, though, so it doesn't scratch the itch for Burgundy pinot for me. It is, however, delicious so maybe that doesn't matter.
