Ruby red, slightly translucent. Dusty, earthy, dried leaves, dried red fruit/berries. Med acid, med plus tannins especially after 1-2 hours of decant. Med finish. Dried berries/fruit, plum, tart cherry, med/full body especially after a few hours decanting. Really nice wine especially for a CA Syrah, much more complex and nuanced than other Andrew Murray wines. Drink now through next 5 years. Tannin and acidity seem like it should hold up but fruit does need seem to be enough to last more than 5-10 years but of course could be wrong.

Flavors and aromas were somewhat muted. There were earthy notes, perhaps leather, and some dark fruit. Andrew Murray syrahs often have a distinct nose and flavor profile, but this one didn't. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing special, either.

This is an earthy Syrah with musty berries on the nose. The initial taste is smooth and plummy with a bit of cocoa. Later, the flavors are more astringent with spice and floral notes. I look forward to tasting my additional bottles after more aging.

PNP, not great out of the gate, but did open up after 30 min. Nice, smooth and heavy berry flavors.
