Angelica Wine Club - Italian (MV Bistro, Crown Street): Tobacco, herbaceous, slightly oxidised, chocolate and cherry, leather. A little gamey and meaty as well plenty going on. In the mouth the it's got medium plus intensity acidity (arguably a little volatile) with plenty of tight, chalky tannins, slightly sour cherry, leather, long. It's quite complex but a hmm for me.

So trying this again, on a warm Spring day this time. Goes a treat. Red cherries, light red berries, smokey wood and leather on the nose. Light tannins, medium fruit driven finish. Nice.

Light red in colour. Red cherries, charred wood, plums and oily leather on the nose. The palate has tannins that are fine but make their presence felt, along with a marked acid line. Finish is medium, with red berries. A wine best had with food or on a warmer day - not so great on a chilly Autumn day in Sydney.

Dark cherries, smokey oak on the nose. Velvety smooth tannins, red fruits, hint of oak. Nice

Very smooth, fruity with a dry finish. A nice wine that is really easy to drink
