  • From Coravin. Rich nose, some reduction that presents more as an acetone note. Strong minerality with bitterness suggestive of lemon peel. Medium plus finish with lingering bitterness.

  • This was interesting - the polar opposite of the bottle I had last year (both purchased directly from the winery). Whereas the first bottle was somewhat advanced and fat, this bottle had slight matchstick aromas from reduction. This bottle is excellent cool-climate Chardonnay. Lemon oil, lemongrass, faint matchstick, wet rocks, cinnamon apple, and faint tropical fruits on the nose. Palate has great acidity and balance. Ripe lemon, Granny Smith apple, minerality. Both of my bottles had partially saturated corks and tartrate crystals in the wine. Makes me wonder about storage or maybe their corks? Bottles singing like this will drink well for another 5-7 years easily.

  • We've had more than our share of this wine/vintage in the past 6 months.
It is terrific. Wonderful mix of tropical fruit, apple and some citrus; medium weight with a supple mouth feel. Great by itself or with food (e.g., shrimp bbq, Indian).
