A bit firm and woodsy, but good fruit that leans towards the ripe sweet-tart cranberry spectrum keeps this fluid across the palate. The nose gains a bit of purfumed lift and complexity with air. I’d expect this to improve with age. 92+

Ben's. Big ripe tasty dark red fruit, clove spice, some wood underneath; great balance, texture and depth. Young and serious, but amazingly drinkable for a young Corton.

La Paulée de San Francisco - Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. More red vs black fruit with impressive density. Lots of tannin here, but so much ripe, tasty and balanced fruit coming through as well. Long and powerful throughout. 92-93 point potential.

Some Wines from the 2018 La Paulée Grand Tasting of 2015 Burgundy (The Fairmont, San Francisco): Deep red. Beautiful red fruit of great depth set off by a touch of green and earth. Woody base, polished, smooth feel (dare I say "modern"?) without any rough edges. Again, amazing to taste a young Corton that is so friendly and doesn't cause your face to screw up in a knot.
