  • Grapefruit juice and zest, slight cream and mineral notes…slightly frizzante notes lend a chalky texture. It actually tastes like it has a bit of residual sugar - I'm wondering if the fizz is a bit of secondary fermentation in the bottle - quite fruity and pleasant regardless

  • I've always loved Martin's wines. They combine structured elegance with some polished modern technique. This seems to go a little too far in the latter direction. Plenty of freshness, but the ripe greengage and kiwi has a touch of spun sugar and the faintest hint of natural yeast. This comes at the expense of some minerality and a clean long finish. Very nice, but prefer his more subtle and traditional wines.
