A:Medium gold N: medium (-) intensity. Pineapple heart, lemon peel (tart), golden delicious apple, herbs, stone and peaches. P: Dry, medium (+) acid, medium alcohol (13%), medium (+) body, medium intensity and length. Some phenolic bitterness. C: The wine is neutral. I would drink now and the quality is Acceptable Quality wine at this stage.
GUESSES: Old world owing to stone. I thought the acid made it moderate climate but gosh i said Viognier.
MISTAKES: No sign of stale beer in the glass. I often get that when the glass is empty and no real sign. I got so upset by this one being so far off. i saw peach and herb and old world and went to Viognier from the Rhone. Viognier should be more floral and less bitter.

This Pinot Grigio is an above-average value, thanks to hillside vineyard locations in the Collio. Medium yellow in color, with a gold hue. Beautiful nose of golden apple, pear, white flowers, field herbs and some lime. The palate is dry and consistent with the nose. The acidity is medium (+), providing a nice streak of freshness. The alcohol is medium at 13%. Overall, the wine is medium (+) in body and nicely rounded, with a smooth, medium (+), slightly bitter finish. Very nicely balanced. Drink now, but could age for a few more years. Worth seeking out.

Frosty mineral aromas. Not as herby as I remember some earlier vintages. Silky texture, but with some mineral vibrancy to the palate. Again, pear fruit to the palate. Very nice.
