On the nose, soft vanilla, salty gaminess, herbal notes, licorice, tart fruit. On the palate tart fruit, dried flowers, plum, blackberry, spice and pepper. Based on the previous comments, I wonder if this wine wasn't quite integrated yet. It paired amazingly well with sherphard's pie with lamb and mushrooms.
98% Syrah, 2% Viognier, 14.03% ABV.

Decanted for an hour. Light fruit and hints of smoke, the latter increasing over the course of the meal. Not complex but still fairly decent. 88-89.

Smooth and Rich dark fruit with a smokey undertone. Very aromatic, easy to drink, would be ideal with bbq ribs.
