Nose of blueberry pie, a perfumed incense spice note, oregano and thyme
Palate delivers on the nose with sappy blueberry and vanilla sweetness, a little oolong tea, medium acidity. Tannins are present but integrated bringing a modicum of structure and but a little bitter on the finish
I know Latour has its critics but I’d say this is overall a friendly, tasty wine with some clear oak treatment (apparently 10-12 months in 35% new oak). No sign of anything substantially more interesting developing but have another bottle to see how it goes.

Slight rusty rim; lots of earth, shrooms, leather, with cherry skin, some juicy berry notes buried a bit; animale, slight medicinal, swear this could pass as a Barbaresco, or at least a Pommard. High tannins, fairly high acid, good tangy finish, but very dry, tannic, rustic.

Musique & Vin Pre-Concert Volnay Dégustation (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Tasting, brief note. Slightly reduced, certainly backward and more certainly rugged and austere for Volnay. Yet there is plenty of good fruit plus spice notes. Needs plenty of time to integrate.

Nice, but so young.
