The nose was incredibly deep and layered with an initial whiff of forest floor and dusty spices, followed by crushed strawberry, rich savory spices, dried orange, and a hint of ginger cookie. On the palate, I found silky textures with a vibrant core of mineral-infused acidity, strawberry, leather and spice. It finished with incredible length, displaying a coating of fine tannin, minerals and dried red berries. There a hint of heat on the finish, but otherwise this is an incredibly balanced wine for the vintage.

The nose showed dark red fruits, with a mix of undergrowth, floral and earth. I might even say it was a bit rustic, yet in a good way. On the palate, I found elegant and lifted textures with slow mounting tannin that began to saturate the senses. It finished long on spicy, tart cherry and fine tannin.
