  • Prior bottle was 5 and a half months ago so my notes were again quite similar. Crunchy white white and slightly more open yellow peach on the nose along with distinct pear and a lot of citrus qualities and mineral notes on a quite pretty nose. Again nearly medium bodied and I purposely opened it on the cooler side (around 49F) to bring out the contrasts. The result was a wine that showed really expressive white peach upfront, moving to richer yellow peach through the middle. The tropical highlights come in as the wine warms. However, as with my prior bottle, the contrast between the mid-body peach and the acidity, melon, pear and citrus that come in through the back are what make this wine special. Should continue to evolve positively along these lines over the next few years.

  • Prior bottle was only about 7 months ago, so my notes were virtually identical. White peach contrasted with pear, citrus and minerals and on the nose. Close to medium bodied with a virtually identical flavor profile: white peach upfront, moving to white/yellow peach through the middle that's more open and rounded. The richer notes and hints of tropical continue to show through on the backside, but the real story here is the pear, melon, citrus, tart white fruit notes and general acidity. Continues to make for a very enjoyable contrast. The wine has a number of years in front of it, but showing this well (to my particular tastes, which tend to favor the fruit-acidity contrast at its height), I may end up opening my last bottle as soon as later this year.

  • White peach, pear, citrus and mineral notes on the nose. Nearly medium bodied (7.5% ABV) with white peach upfront, moving to a mixture of yellow peach and yellow apple through the middle. There are a good amount of richer, background tropical qualities in the mid-body, but these are easily balanced by strong citrus notes and quite lively acidity on the backside and through the finish. After being open about three hours, these tropical qualities and structural qualities were coming together well. It has the backbone to last while the fruit gains in complexity and expression. May open my next bottle as soon as Fall 2022.
