{screwcap, 13%} This is OK. It still has plenty of overt raspberry fruit after ten years, with a touch of spice. The palate is maturing a little, but there are soft gritty tannins, medium acid, and not all that much magic, to be honest. Medium weight, short/medium length finish. Decent blend of the two grape characters but needs some enchantment. Too much fruit and not enough structure is my generic assessment. More cellar time won't hurt though. Perhaps decant?

2 hr decant. Cabernet dominant nose with some herb added to the white pepper Shiraz. Blue red fruit. Pleasing palate with a lush mouthful and medium to medium plus finish. Drinking ok and worth drinking now over next few years. 2014 not the best vintage, however this is ok.

{screwcap, 13%} Interesting wine, drunk too young. Cabernet dominates the nose, with herbs and currants, maybe a little spice only. The palate has ripe red and black fruit, but is quite savoury in character, fairly elegant, with fine grainy tannins and medium acidity. Medium weight only, with a medium/long finish. Not green and not oaky, a good example of Coonawarra style. Although satisfying enough to drink now, I think it’ll be lovely with some proper development on it in a decade or so.

Full bodied. Nice blend of cab and Shiraz. Day one went well with food, but made me pucker without food. Day two smoothed out amazing smooth.
