Oh for the days when you could pick up this bottle for £19.50 as I did in 2018! 😩 The second of two bottles I bought then, I was curious how this non-vintage (2016) wine might have aged. The answer is very well! Still with a slight effervescence, the brett and funk was much more muted and absorbed into the wine than before, but still present in a pleasant way. Admittedly, the red fruit was also probably less vibrant, but not enormously. The wine still had it's light, easy drinking feeling, but more smooth and harmonious than in its youth. Delicious. And a bit like drinking a dinosaur: a relic of the time when natural wine was actually affordable and felt like both an adventure and a great deal. Sadly, like this wine, those days are gone.

Natural wine, light, clear ruby color. Nose brings high-pitched pomegranate mixed with orange peel, tangerines, black pepper, funk, and cherry bitters. The palate is light, round, tangy, and crunchy, bringing waves of red and orange fruit with hints of black/blue fruit into a refined finish. Still good structure, but drink 2022-2024. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 91.

Decanted for 2h. Very bretty nose with a significant amount of reduction. Stirred vigorously in decanter. While the reduction subsided, brett still remained for the next 3 h. Palate though had pretty lively red berries with herbs and a nice minerality. Juicy and lively, probably from the carbonic maceration, with nice acids. Medium bodied. Would have been much more enjoyable if there wasn't the brett.

very much agree with JLHKISS' note, well made and fun. Carbonic, fizzy, and wanting to be drunk.

Quite a lot of barnyard/brett and slightly fizzy on the palate. Appears somewhat one dimensional.
