Previous poster was correct... it's now 2 years later, and this wine is spectacular! Much of the previous post is still accurate. It's an EXTREMELY DARK color, with all of the flavors he listed... plus, I would add a black peppery front, but it softens quickly as it moves to the mid-palate.
The Texture is medium to heavy....The finish is... Oh... so... long. Just wonderful.
Tannins are low.. especially after 20 minutes or so of breathing.
This is the best wine I've tasted since a 1995 bottle of Gaija Barbaresco.
Exquisite blackberry, black currant, black cherry, bitter chocolate, cassis, and some tar notes. Concentrated but smooth the whole way through. Medium-bodied to some degree, but with a super smooth drive that slowly showed a powerful but graceful push of flavors through the mid-palate and on to the finish.
Threw off a bit of sediment toward the end, but an expensive unctuousness that was noteworthy. I think this wine could use another year or two to find its true place in the world. Hold until at least 2019 (maybe 2020+) to allow the flavors to integrate and deepen more. This could be an even more amazing wine in the coming years. 94-95+ points.

DEEP PURPLE COLOR, fruit to the nose, medium to light tannins and great deep berry on the backend...
