Take my prior note and chunk it in the bin. At 10 yrs and at PnP this was delicious and in the zone. Elegant, restrained red fruited beauty with nice mineral/earthy undertones. Oak and tannins completely integrated. Red cherry, waxy cherry, red currant, red raspberry all intertwined to deliver an awesome experience, even on a leaf day.

Drank at a larger tasting so no detailed notes, but after initial VA blew off, this was delicious. Held up to likes of Quintessa, Opus One, Checkerboard and such in the same tasting.

The most structure of any 2014 Napa cab I have had, going back to ones tasted in 2016. Really nice, old school interpretation of Napa cab. If I had another bottle, I’d wait another five years or full decant for at least three hours.

This was a classy Cab. Decanted for an hour before drinking over the next hour and the decant helped. Still seems young with bold fruit and grip but still well balanced.

Distinct pyrazine note on both the nose and the palate which was a little distracting and reminded me of unripe Bordeaux from the 80s/90s. The lush, inky dark red fruit definitely brought me back to new-world, but this definitely belongs to the classic camp with good restraint. Notes of morello cherries, liquorice and cedar wood, grippy tannins. Needs more time to become less primary and one-dimensional, but the potential is there.
