Similar notes as last time. Huge nose with coffee, black fruit, wet grass cuttings. Big wine. Lots of black fruit, black coffee, long finish. Still has at least 5 more years in it.

Medium bodied, modern and rustic style. This wine is two things: an elegant Californian Syrah, towards central coast volcanics with stewed fruit that turns brighter with air. And at the same time it's funky in a similar way to Cayuse's infamous style, particularly in milkiness, high salinity, wilted greens, long meaty finish. Would go as far as to call this vintage a baby Cayuse: lighter bodied, less of that "dirty" complexity, more approachable. Good value.
Could use 2-4 years to more fully balance, but do not hesitate to open today.
Rather creamy, sweet. To young, maybe, but this is certainly a Californian smooth opetator, peppery notes, sweetness, olives, true blooded Syrah packed with West Coast charm. Worked well with a steak.

Simply outstanding. This is drinking perfectly right now. Beat out E. Guigal Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde by a landslide head to head.

Rich, delicious blackberry fruit with toasty flavors, excellent structure, ample finish, tannins still need to soften
