  • Served at dinner with a group of friends along with several excellent 2013-2017 Oregon Pinot Noirs (2014 Evening Land Seven Springs, 2014 Adelsheim Elizabeth's Reserve, 2015 Bethel Heights Flat Block, 2015 Colene Clemens Dopp Creek, 2015 Ponzi Tavola, and 2017 Patricia Green Reserve). For me, the Bethel Heights and Patricia Green were the wines of the evening, even if both were very young. The Ponzi Tavola suffered a bit in comparison with the other wines, but was still an excellent bottle. I need to buy some of the 2016 Tavola's.

  • This is a very good, relatively inexpensive, Oregon Pinot Noir that continues to hold well. A bit fruit forward, with cherries, spice, good acidity, and good mid-range and finish. I look forward to drinking the remainder over the next couple of years or so.

  • We first had this wine at a restaurant in Lincoln, NE in 2017 and loved it, then ordered two cases. It is the 45th Anniversary vintage. It was drinking quite young with abundant tannins, but after a year plus in the cellar, it is more fruit forward and appears to be peaking. The nose of dark fruit leaps out of the glass. On the palate it had blackberry and currant overtones. We also bought the Classico and the Reserve versions of this vintage, but the exceptional value Tavola is our favorite. That is likely because the Classico and Reserve need more time in the bottle. Drink the Tavola now.

  • Very traditional Oregon style. Austere with cherry cola aromas and peppery notes on palette. All organic, run by Ponzi daughters and all women. If you like Oregon pinot then this one's for you.
