Nebbiolo from 55-year old vines in Barbaresco, spontaneously fermented and macerated on the skins for six weeks, then raised in tank with no wood contact nor any additions of so2, finally bottled under crown capsule. The nose is beautifully perfumed, red fruited with liquorice underneath, layered, slightly animal. Medium-bodied taste with fresh acidity, elegant tannin structure, and downright yummy fruit. So harmonious and exciting to drink. Really well done in a difficult vintage. Probably best over the next two years.
