Drank this vintage 2 years ago, then it was glorious. Now after 1 h decant, it was good for 30 min, then the acidity and tannins disappeared and the sweetness took over. I hane noticed that some wines from C.S tend to shine 6 - 8 years after the release. I have one 2014 left, let's hope that bottle have survived better. Drink now!

A Cab/Syrah blend (80:20) from K Vintner, is delicious and really, really drinkable. Currants, some saddle leather, spices and a hint of violets on the nose (from the Syrah?). It is lush, pliant and the tannins are silky soft and oh-so fine grained. A nice, long finish of smoked meats, black fruit and spices. Very enjoyable wine, probably not getting much better. Drink up!

Nose: leather, kumquat, red fruits, slight green note, asphalt, pomegranate, sweet cherry, wet soil, licorice.
Palate: medium acidity. harmonious, effortless silk on the palate. Flies by with resolved tannins. Very complex. Forest floor, dried leaves, sweet cranberries, cinnamon, plum, ripe peach, tobacco leaves, vanilla pod, black and red currants, more spices.
Just slightly too sweet for my palate but a masterclass in winemaking and finesse. Leaves a wonderful aftertaste which lasts a long time but the actual finish of the wine falls a little short (one of the few flaws).
Perfect to drink with an hour decant but it gets more complex throughout the night. Will last a long time, no rush to drink here.

Twin Cities Wine Club Rides Again: Washington State (Edina, MN): Classic K vintners with rock, floral, cherry, spices and earth. Amazing this is 80% Cabernet as it tasted more like Syrah. Needs a few more years in the cellar. (Natural cork)

Nice fruity nose. Earth tobacco. Peppery, lingering finish
