Dinner at Sitka and Spruce (Seattle, WA): The textbook floral, spicy nose of a Viognier, but refreshingly there was none of the heat or kerosene I often find in these. Pretty light on its feet. Not a ton of acid, but refreshing and a pleasant way to start a meal. A nice quaffer.

This was a good wine. It had a very full palate with tastes of vanilla, spice and apricot or Kiwi or some fruit that I had a hard time pinning down. It may be a bit on the overoaked side.

Great balance between fruit, sweetness, and acid. Probably drinking at its peak now -- I wouldn't cellar it any longer.
