  • Drank this last night with my wine mates at Song Garden last night. Theme of the evening: South African wines.

Nice, smooth and elegant, this wine hit all the right spots at the right timing. A wine produced by 2 famous wine-making families, this wine has French characteristics blended with South African style. Fruity with notes of berries, cassis, some spices, toffee and mocha, what gave it the "South Africaness" is the touch of greeness and herbaceousness.

This is a good wine made to be enjoyed and savored.

  • Elegant nose of figs, cassis, blue berries cream, vanilla pod, smoked herbs and sweet oak. Palate is smooth and polished, echoing the nose. Mid-palate is rich and savoury with licorice and some lifted acidity. Finish is rounded and smooth. Still young and holding back its potential. Wait for 3-5 years for it to open up.
