  A really nice Piedmont blend of Barbera, Dolcetto, Bonarda, Freisa, and Croatina. Juicy and grapey but not in a gross, artificial Welch's grape jelly kind of way. Nice undercurrent of minerality. Dark and brooding but still light and fresh.
  
  The only thing I struggled with was the 13.5% alcohol - wish it came in a little lighter. Overall, a strong effort.
