Stellar nose. Has a bit of a muddy color. Super concentrated with lots of acid, salt, prunes, caramel, and chocolate on a very long finish. Doesn’t get much better than this. Bottle appears to be from the early 2000s.

Flash note. A flash note is one that I distinctly remember the quality/overall rating of a wine but can’t give specifics because the tasting note was not written at time of tasting.
Drank at truffles in Stl with their Somm. It was actually pretty tasty. Oldest wine I have ever drunk. Good fun and good wine

Black and green walnut. VA on the nose. Fig, nutmeg, ginger and orange peel. Complex, mildly sweet and long finish.

Faint VA but not overwhelming. Fresh tobacco, green fig, pepper and sorghum. Drier for a Malvasia. Excellent.
