Fragrant nose, complex with pleasing intensity. Flavour profile leans to citrus with fewer toasty notes. Clean and refreshing. Pleasing level of acidity.

Pale lemon colour. Medium nose with yellow apples, lemon, brioche, butter and chalk. Medium (+) taste of green apples, lemon, lime, brioche, butter, chalk and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Vintage Champagne with a creamy feeing that drinks well now. Drink now. Goes well as an aperitif, or with cured meat or shellfish.

It's been three years since my last bottle, which tasted like an austere, lemony vin clair. Unfortunately this still tastes lean to the point of being emaciated, although the acidity has softened a bit. I just don't find this convincing, and rather preferred the style of the Suenen wines a few years ago, before they went down the lean ultra brut path.

Exceeedingly delicious. 1gr/l and wow does it pop. It is juicy, crisp, yet it is full, with sweet lemon and apple skin, sparkly mineral. Base 2013 dis. 5/2016
