This was my last bottle and by far the best. It's a rich new world style of Pinot, more in the style of a Cali pinot and not an OR one. Fruit dominates and there is still a bit of bubble gum/ cotton candy but much less than a couple of years ago. Not my favorite style of Pinot but my guests all loved it.

The first few sips struck me as distinctly non-pinot, but as the bottle emptied, it more closely conforms to type. More robust and rich to start, the cherry flavors, acid and leanness come around after a bit (or a bit longer than a bit). The start is off putting, so it’s hard to rate it solely on what happens after 2 hours (even though it had an hour of air before the first sip). The mineral aspect of most OR Pinots isn’t there, beginning or end. Finish is good.

Sampled two glasses across ~6 months via coravin, then opened bottle. 4+ years after my prior bottle, notes are fairly consistent. Riper end of Pinot Noir, with a heavier body than you'll find on most. No tannins to speak of, but acidity helps keep this from being flabby and lets this be food friendly, but not so zippy that it can't be enjoyed alone. Not sure where this will go from here; I'll probably drink my remaining bottle in the next year or so.

Hot vintage shows. This was not as elegant as my first bottle. Felt big. All around a nicely made wine in the context of the vintage but not really what I wanted when I grabbed a Pinot to go with my fresh Coho salmon last night. Lots of darker fruit. Color was dark and could be mistaken for a Bordeaux. Blind I may not have called this pinot on the palate. It was rather big and densely flavored. Nicely balanced and certainly a good wine but not what I typically want out of a pinot.

I guess it's good if you enjoy heavily oaked pinot noir that has hints of soy and teriyaki. But as it opened up a bit, I got more of a cherry cola flavor.
