Perfectly balanced wine, arguably one of the, if not the, finest NZ Chardonnay’s I have tasted. Drank superbly with pan fried Bresse Chicken thighs in a creamy/sherry mushroom sauce with boudin noir. The fruit was reserved, acidity neutral and a distinct length to the finish.

C....looks medium+ bodied, light straw, obvious alc legs on glass.
N....lush and rich, interesting and seductive, sweet toasty oak; classic peaches and cream; some intensity; some dried herbs charm; a hint of grass?
T.....solid med body; lovely juicy acidity, thrilling even; long yellow fruit flavours; a classy wine; everything in balance; but missing is any genuine complexity; there is a pleasing essence at the end, with citrus too. Finishes near-dry. A Foodie style and a Quaffer, both. Not yet mature. Drinking well at moment, anyway.
VFM?....feels like anything above £25 would be over-priced.

Another, unfortunately the last, fantastic bottle of this top notch NZ Chardonnay. My previous review was reinforced.

Starting to show some age and integration. We are Burgundian nose. Lovely complex palate. Some slight harshness on the end lets it down.

Mild chill, popped and poured at home.
