Similar to previous notes. I tend to like the '14 vintage as it tends to be plush and rich, but this felt more congested (like a '13 vintage) for me - a bit awkward, strident and compact; not something I'd seek out again, but the style may appeal to some. I expect this would show better in five years.

Did not improve with age. Lacks depth. Basically a standard California cab that is easily drinkable and pretty good but nothing stands out here. A party wine.

This was pretty flabby, with very little structure. The fruit was deep and plush but very obvious. Reminds me of the modern Caymus style, which I don't like at all. This is one of those plain fruit-driven modern Napa cabs. It may appeal to some though. Was a little better on the 2nd day.

A local store picked this up on close-out so I decided to give it a shot in light of James Suckling's 92 rating. Black and dark red fruit - blackberry, dark currants, dark cherry, and a little plum. Smooth mid-palate with decent depth - medium body. Nice flavors of dark berries and some spice. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep. Decanted for one hour and drank over another three. Improved a little with time but at a nice drinking point after the decant. A solid bottle at $37 on close-out but tough competition at the winery direct price of $85. 90% cabernet sauvignon, 5% merlot, 3% cab franc and 2% petite verdot.

Nice wine purchased at Costco close-out - $19/bottle. Berries and cherry. Not as big as expected, but well balanced.
