Opened this bottle with not a little trepidation... Given the history with premox, we were prepared for the worst and already had an alternative wine ready. However, there was no premox at all in this bottle. The cork, while almost soaked hrough, had done its job. The hue was perfectly acceptable for a 24 year old Chardonnay with a light golden aspect. The aromas confirmed that this bottle had not suffered: great purity and intensity of aromas all supported by a very solid acid backbone providing freshness. The aromas were ranging from citrus to orange blossoms with just a whiff of butter and a saline, mineral streak as well. Beautiful texture providing roundness, focus, length all at the same time. I plan to drink remaining bottles over next couple of years.

Medium gold in color. Forward and attractive nose with floral overtones of honeysuckle & jasmine, some butterscotch, citric notes of lemon & lime with stony and mineral undertones. Well balanced with well developed ripe fruit flavors of Myer lemon, lime, some grapefruit, honey, lychee, with stone & minerals. A long lingering & crisp finish.

As per my unfortunate history with this producer, this wine is oxidized. Thank God, this is my last bottle of 96 Morgeot. I have 2 remaining Remilly to take a chance on, but I certainly would not put actual money on that bet.
What a dissapointment Colin-Deleger has been to me since 95, 96, 99, 00. I have learned my lesson- big time.

Mature white burg...past it's prime, but still enjoyable. No premox, etc.

Beautiful Nose. Had not lost any fruit. This bottle turned out to be a real winner along with the lobster bisque.
