Inner Fog with Ben et al. (Inner Fog Wine Bar, SF): Opaque purple, staining the glass. Moderate minus aromatics of tight blackberry, wet earth (possible slight barnyard and possible Brett, but very faint and adds interest), slight herbal/amaro notes. Structure. Elevated alcohol, elevated acid, high tannins - chewy.

Napa/Sonoma Trip With Some Exceptional Gems; 11/1/2017-11/5/2017 (1800ft Up Cavedale Road, Glen Ellen, CA): Tasted at the winery. Dark purple color. Pretty black and blue fruits, good texture, not overly done like many.
