I have been fortunate enough to be introduced to Sonoma Zins twenty years ago, and they still are my favorite. I just drank this Zin tonight and I think it is great! High alcohol Zins (15+) take time to evolve in the bottle. What tasted thin to you in August, will "gain weight" and mellow out as it matures in the bottle. The same wine will be different from August to Dec-Jan, and again next summer. This is more of an old school, original zinfandel. The "jammy" styles came later, and are good in there own way. Does anybody know who supplied the fruit? I'm guessing Kunde.

Somewhat weak, light weight everyday drinking Zin. Strictly pop and pour; better on day one than two. Little structure, but good balance between jammy and acid. Better alternatives, like Bogle, for $10 price point.

This is a good value Zin. Full and jammy but not too sweet.

Good for the price. Mild nose. Not as fruity or smooth as the better Zins, but quite drinkable.
