This is not an $80 wine. It is a very good $30 wine. I am reminded of the original scorched peanut bar, with chocolate and dense nutty mid palate and a slightly sweet finish. That was my last bottle of this vintage.

Has good staying power and good concentration, but lacks a bit of complexity. It's a classic combination of vanilla, black fruits, & spicy notes Heading into jammy territory. It's nice wine but blends in with the crowd, and it could be one of a number of South Australian Shiraz.

Not a $70 bottle. Taste on day one was not interesting and expected more for price. However I did stick 1/2 of it away for the next day and was much more drinkable. Won’t be going back to these for a while. Maybe another few years yet in the hope they improve. Don’t know what it is for Curtis family wines but to date the ratings vs price vs taste don’t stack up. Won’t be getting any more of these.
