2022 Port Harvest Tour; 9/22/2022-10/2/2022 (Porto, Portugal): The grapes were harvested in 2017, the wine was bottled in 2018, and was released in 2021. Dark opaque purple in color. Tremendous primary fruit on the nose with blackberry and bramble fruits. There are pronounced tannins and dark bramble fruits on the palate. This is a very young wine that needs more time.

2022 Port Harvest Tour; 9/22/2022-10/2/2022 (Porto, Portugal): Very dark ruby in color. The grapes were harvested in 2014, the wine was bottled in 2015 and was released in 2018. This was a great conversation about crusted ports. I thought the crusted port had to be 3 consecutive vintages blended together but learned that a producer can declare 1-2 or three consecutive years if they want. This wine has crushed purple fruit on the palate. The complexity here falls into the Reserve Ruby range. This is a really pleasant wine.
