  • Still plenty of bubbles surprisingly and a mature taste but not too dominant. A pleasant surprise as I was worried about its age.

  • Drank at 67 (Magnum)
Nicely evolving. Faint notes of nuts and slight oxidation.

  • Brought this to our wine group dinner last night, where one of the highlights was Luis' 2000 Le Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche from Maison Joseph Drouhin. The L-P was lacking; not many bubbles, a bit tired. It was drinkable and a few people said they appreciated the mature flavors. But this wasn't as good as my last bottle two year ago. Alas, this one was my last bottle of a six-pack case purchased in 2006. So even though it has been well stored over the years, its time had come.

  • Really an excellent Champagne. Drank with sautéd prawns and fresh green beans from the garden. Straw color, forward on the palette, nice finish.
