  • Drinkable, but corked. More apparent after aerating and decanting.

  • Don't know where in BKP's cellar this one came from, but it surely still has the longevity! This was the second of a multi-bottle string enjoyed. This Barolo is a medium bodied Barolo that definitely embraces the darker side. The wine was decanted for about an hour in a swan neck decanter. Notes of dark chocolate, cola, earth, and age. The wine poured a very deep dark chocolate color (still clear) into the glass. Again a lot of dark, deep notes were present. The backbone is overripe raspberry with notes of cola, chocolate, fig. Medium bodied from start to finish, this one transitioned in the mid-palate to quite an earthy wine. The finish was medium length, not very tannic, rather silky. Overall this wine still has some years left. Not many, but it still has some. Need to get going on the other 6 left in the cellar!!
