  • £8.00 Tesco's UK.

Bargain. Not the most 'complete' wine in the world, but for £8 a real steal. Light red with brilliant lively flavours, be fantastic with pizza. Back label says, ''this 2015 considered one of the best ever.'' Really?? It's good but I dunno if it's that good.

Nose....nothing until around 30 mins in a big glass, then...lovely red fruit.

Taste....unctous, very hard to put down. Ripe and round, soft floury tannins, almost a dry finish. Back label says, ''inky black.'' It is not;its cherry red. Also promises, '' rich and complex. Chocolate finish.'' No it's not, no it hasn't: its a v good soft simple light red. An All Nighter style but would also be perfect with pizza or pasta cream dishes.

VFM? Bargain. Worth every penny. Going out to buy more.

  • For mine the pick of the Tesco reds available in Phuket. Could be defined as 'fruity' in the front palatee (albeit generic red) and the remainder shows some clear old world firmness and class. Hints of neb and the sandy dry structure is very much in line with what I love about traditional dry Italian reds. No doubt could be drunk as a 3 - 4 yr old.
