Dense, fully opaque blackish-red color with a little bit of youthful blue hue. The nose feels very dense, ripe and powerful with concentrated aromas of juicy blackcurrants, raisins, some toasty oak spice, a little bit of developed pruney character, light brambly raspberry tones, a hint of alcohol and a touch of mocha. The wine is dense, full-bodied and quite robust on the palate with pretty powerful and slightly sweet-toned flavors of wizened dark berries, some dark fruits, a little bit of raisiny fruit, light toasty oak tones, a hint of peppery spice and a touch of dried figs. Overall the wine feels pretty muscular with its moderately high acidity and piling-up medium-plus tannins. The alcohol shows a bit in the midpalate and even more in the moderately aftertaste along with robust flavors of ripe blackberries, pruney dark fruits, some peppery spice, a little bit of woody bitterness, hints of toasty oak and a touch of meatiness.
A robust, muscular and grippy powerhouse that seems to have taken a turn to the more developed, raisiny and pruney style. Most likely the wine hasn't been kept in optimal conditions and isn't showing its best, but still it performs surprisingly well for the style. Perhaps a bit too ripe and high in alcohol for my preference, but surprisingly enjoyable stuff for a Chilean Syrah nevertheless. Priced according to its quality at 14,90€.

I tried this year a go and gave it 87, but now it's getting slightly better so 88 points. Good price.
