Very similar notes to last 2 times. Seems better integrated. More apparent longevity than I expected a couple of years ago. Might be able to last another 2-3 years in the cellar without problems but it’s not likely to get any better. Score : 92. Relative to expectations: +

Another pass at this wine, tasted next to a 2019 Boulay Sancerre. Similar notes to last time although after the Boulay the backbone of acidity on this one and the higher salinity were more noticeable and more welcome. This lost the face off narrowly but the comparison still made me appreciate this wine more because I noticed more depth earlier on. Still a very nice Chassagne and more structure than I expected out of the vintage. Glad I have a few more bottles to keep. Score: 92-93. Relative to expectations: +

Lemon, lanolin, gravel, spearmint on the nose. Lemon, honey, mint on the palate. Decent salinity. Fairly forward. I think this is meant for early-ish drinking, say the next 1-4 years. That said, lovely Chassagne sweetness. Exhibits honest typicity of the appellation to the point of inducing homesickness.
Next day: Finished the bottle after a day of argon. Still in great shape 24 hrs later. More longevity in this than I had expected. Perhaps even more gorgeous honey and spearmint tones than on first day. Adding a point from 91 to 92, and the experience a day later now clearly exceeds expectations. Score: 92. Relative to expectations: +

Enjoyed at Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence. Very enjoyable Chassagne Montrachet.
