Form R&D, drunk alongside the 2007 Monte Bello with pizza. Notes of black cherry, raisin and dark fruit. Definitely ripe, but not overly so. The palate follows the bouquet; nicely balanced with a good finish.

Rich, lush, and very dark fruit. Currant, boysenberry, and anise flavors with hints of caramel on the finish. Pleasant enough to drink, but certainly under performed for this caliber of wine. Drink now.

Very dark, inky color. Pleasant uncomplicated nose. Fruity, spicy, well-balanced with some minerality towards the finish. Nice wine, good time to drink.

Zin tasting at PRIMA (PRIMA, Walnut Creek): nose- porty. earth, chocolate, raisin, liqueur. nose opens with some time in glass mouth - chocolate and porty. complex and grew on me with time. You can sense the 16.2% Etoh. In actuality this was about as close to port as you can get without being port, but in a delicious sort of way. Why order desert, when you can just drink this??

Starting to get a bit funky, but it blew off with time and left an intriguing wine behind. Drink now.
