Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Light CO2 (2-3 shakes). Rich, inky fruit, probably the densest version of this going back many vintages now, though still nice and vibrant. Beneath the fruit there's something that Gilman would call "incipient notes of..." well, incipient notes of I have no idea what (that's why they're incipient), but there's something deeper and earthier trying to punch its way out. There's a good deal of skin tannin making it somewhat edgy and ashen on the back end. This isn't as backwards as the Gouges LSG, but still better cellared than drank at this point.
