  Medium/deep (for a burgundy) ruby/garnet core, medium pale ruby rim. Ripe black cherry nose, youthful and quite exuberant, hints of vanilla. Medium/full bodied on the palate, slightly over-ripe black cherry and plum fruit prominent on initial entry, low-moderate acidity, then coarse, rough tannins cut in and completely strangle the wine. 2003 at its worst.
