A lot to like here. There is quite a bit of fruit on the front end, smoked meat on the back end. Really interesting flavors, but one ends and the other starts. They are not integrated into one another. The wine just feels out of balance. The palate ends up feeling shocked by the sudden turn from juicy dark fruit to acrid, meaty notes. Both were good on their own, but just missing something in between to bring them into harmony.

Highly concentrated nose- heavy, dark fruit and ripe berries up front. Heat (albeit surprisingly restrained at 15.5%- time has certainly done this wine a favor) and spice through the middle palate. Just a brief touch of meat as it transitions to the finish. This wine isn't particularly balanced but I certainly don't consider that to be a negative in this case. It's a bold expression of grenache that I don't usually seek out but I enjoyed.
4/5/2020 Loads of sweet, spicy blood orange, strawberry is hiding in there somewhere. Sweet, chunky tannins, more spice. Again, this is not a balanced wine, in fact it's kind of grotesque and might test what some would consider to be ordinary pleasures. Still, I like it, in some way- it's not abusive or offensive, there's just a lot and nothing is reigned in.

Great flavor of fruit, tobacco and plum. Super relaxing wine with simple cheeses and sliced dried meats. . I like the dry aspects and the fact the it is not overly fruit forward.

Nice drink with smooth mouth notes.
Just a little decanting and its ready to go.
It smells like blackberry and black currant (cassis).
