Light ruby red in color. Nose is high pitched, fragrant with red berries, violets and woody/stemmy undertones. On the palate it is fresh, bright and lively with a weightless texture that glides like silk on skin. Finishes dry and long, as long as a Grand Cru.
I was going to rate this 93, but it truly deserves higher score. For a village level wine this is absolutely beautiful. It exemplifies what good Burgundy is. Outstanding effort.

The weedy and stemmy character to this was a bit overwhelming for me. Loved this last time though, don't know why. Maybe '04's are over now? I will try a few others soon to find out.

Same note as before, perhaps even more open and sexy nose. Always too much of sur maturite which is unusual for a 2004. Very toasted oak probably. Sweet, sweet core of fruit, not very complex but a pleaser to drink.

Tartly acidic at first, this mellowed over time (1 hour), nice gentle velvet body and subdued pleasing fruit. Gentle toasted oak, well integrated. Medium-light body, good acid, good food wine. Not especially complex, but nicely balanced and appropriate for type. Quite enjoyable.

slight reticent nose, very slight green stalk scent, some forest floor and barnyard funk. on the palate, sour cherries, leather, and some earthy nuances. good minerality, some baking spice with medium weight. definitely a burgundy, much more finesse and complexity than a typical CA pinot.
