Finally opened the bottle after a glass of Coravin. Color was garnet turning slightly brick red on the edges. Did pick up the typical Barolo notes around 10-12 years old.

Garnet color. Beautiful nose. Cherry, earth and spice on palate. I have been drinking Damiliano Cannubi for a number of years because I like Cannubi wines and because Damilano is typically lower priced than other producers. This vintage is my favorite Damilano Cannubi to date.

Library release. Medium garnet with a light garnet rim. Moderately aromatic of dried and fresh pine needles, spice box, cedar and pressed flowers. Medium-bodied, this is a bit thin and acidic on the palate with medium tannins. Blood orange and a bit of balsamic. I'll revisit later this evening.
Starting to unwind and the acid seems much more inline with the fruit. Has a nice texture. 91

drank at a 50th birthday party celebration. intense aromatics. initial hit on the nose was fresh pavement after a rain. then transitioned quickly into dried red fruit, little smoke, leather.. acidity was strong but well balanced. mouthfeel was medium with tannins heavier on the back of the mouth. this was just warming up.. on the palate dried red fruits, leather, earth.. but fruit was predominant. still has a looong way to go..
