10-15 years old Bordeaux blends from around the world (My place): Yellow straw color. Heavy aromas on the nose of perfume, flowers, hand cream, minerals and petrol. On the palate there are more fruit notes, primarily white pears and peaches, fat texture and intensity to the flavours. Picks up more nuances of flowers, perfume and minerals on the midpalate and finish. Drinking very well and nicely matured notes, although I would have preferred a bit more acidity.

Wow. A huge riesling in my book. Both complex and pleasing. Great with food or on the terasse. Petrol takes over the nose initially but layers of riesling fruit lurk underneath. For this price, its a gem.

Easy drinking HL basic riesling, spätlese style. Pineaple, pear, a whiff of petrol and some oily rock component. Lacking a little in acidity and the alcohol peeks through a little too much in places. Good and uncomplicated quaffer. No rush with this one but probably not much improvement to be expected from ageing.
